# Setting up the Avature integration

Integrating Avature with Checkmate streamlines your candidate background screening process. Once set up, you can launch checks in Checkmate without leaving Avature, and view the progress of checks directly within Avature.

This integration is not an out-of-the-box setup, and some configuration work will be required on the client side before it can go live.
