# Setting up the Snaphire integration

Integrating Snaphire with Checkmate streamlines your candidate background screening process. Once set up, you can launch checks in Checkmate without leaving Snaphire, and view the progress of checks directly within Snaphire.

:::(Info) (Before you begin)
Checkmate integrations are configured at company level. To avoid any issues, we recommend completing the steps below using your company's Checkmate user account with the highest level of permissions.

## Get your Tenant Short Code from Snaphire
1. While signed in to your Snaphire account, click **Marketplace**.
2. Click the three dots menu.
3. Copy your code from the **Tenant Short Code** field.

## Enable the integration in Checkmate
Once you have your credentials, follow these steps to enable the integration in Checkmate:
1. While signed in to your Checkmate account, navigate to your company settings by clicking your initials in the upper-right corner and selecting **Company Settings**.
2. Navigate to the **Integrations** tab.
3. Use the search field to find the Snaphire card, or scroll to find it.
4. Toggle the Snaphire integration on.
5. Click the **Manage details** arrow to expand the section.
6. Paste your Tenant Short Code into the **Tenant Short Code** field.
7. Check the **Use version 2** checkbox.
8. Enter your credentials and click **Save**.

## Enable the integration in Snaphire
This step requires assistance from your Snaphire Integration Consultant, who will map Checkmate to your workflow within the Assessment Hub.

1. While signed in to your Snaphire account, click **Marketplace**.
2. Click **Assessment Hub**.
3. Click **Open**.
4. The Assessment Hub will open on the **Manage Assessments** tab. If 
Checkmate is not listed, click **Restart Tenant** to push it through. 
This can be done at any time and will not affect any ongoing checks.

Once you can see Checkmate in the Assessment Hub, contact your Snaphire Integration Consultant to complete the workflow mapping.
