# Setting up the UKG Ready integration

Integrating UKG Ready with Checkmate streamlines your candidate background screening process. Once set up, you can launch checks in Checkmate without leaving UKG Ready, and view the progress of checks directly within UKG Ready.

The UKG Ready integration runs via Workato, a middleware platform that connects UKG Ready with Checkmate. Setup is completed with assistance from the Checkmate team and will require custom development from a UKG specialist.
