# Setting up the Workable integration

Integrating Workable with Checkmate streamlines your candidate background screening process. Once set up, you can launch checks in Checkmate without leaving Workable, and view the progress of checks directly within Workable.

The Workable integration runs via Workato, a middleware platform that connects Workable with Checkmate. Setup is completed with assistance from the Checkmate team.
