# Setting up the Workday integration

Integrating Workday with Checkmate streamlines your candidate background screening process. Once set up, you can launch checks in Checkmate without leaving Workday, and view the progress of checks directly within Workday.

The Workday integration runs via Workato, a middleware platform that connects Workday with Checkmate. Setup is completed with assistance from the Checkmate team.
