Candidate checks via JazzHR

Once the JazzHR integration is set up, you can launch background checks and track their progress without leaving JazzHR.

If you haven't set up the integration yet, see Setting up the JazzHR integration before continuing.

Launch checks within JazzHR

  1. In JazzHR, click Candidates.

  1. Select the appropriate candidate.

  1. Click on the Assessments tab.

  1. Click on the + SELECT PACKAGE button in the Checkmate drop down section.

  1. Select Multiple Background Checks then click the Request Background Check button.

  1. A new ticket will open under Checkmate. Click Confirm.

  1. A window will popup, prompting you to select your desired background checks.
  2. Select the Bundle or individual checks you'd like to launch. If your organisation has more than one brand, select the appropriate Brand.
  3. Once you've selected your checks and configured any options for those checks, scroll down and click Launch Checks.
Tip

Bundles are a quick and easy way to launch multiple checks for a candidate at once. Learn more about bundles.

Checks Selector

In some cases, further information may be required before a check can be launched. If this applies, a Take action link will appear in the Checkmate section on the candidate's profile. Click this link to provide the required information and proceed with the check.

Monitor progress

Once a check has been launched, you can monitor its progress directly from the Assessments tab on the candidate's profile in JazzHR. The current status of the check will be displayed in the Checkmate section.

  1. In JazzHR, select the appropriate candidate.

  1. Click on the Assessments tab.

  1. Click on View Details to open the Checkmate window.

The following 3 tabs allow you to view progress and edit candidate details:

Background Checks - From here you can view the status of the check, add additional checks using the Add Checks button and download results when checks are complete.

Candidate - This tab allows you to update the candidate's details at any time during the background check process.

History - This tab shows a chronological log of events related to the candidate's background screening process.

Result files can be downloaded via the Background Checks tab when the check has been completed.
