Setting up the JazzHR integration

Integrating JazzHR with Checkmate streamlines your candidate background screening process. Once set up, you can launch checks in Checkmate without leaving JazzHR, and view the progress of checks directly within JazzHR.

Before you begin

Checkmate integrations are configured at company level. To avoid any issues, we recommend completing the steps below using your company's Checkmate user account with the highest level of permissions.

Once you've completed setup, see Candidate checks via JazzHR to get started.

Get your API key from Checkmate

  1. While signed in to your Checkmate account, navigate to your company settings by clicking your initials in the upper-right corner and selecting Company Settings.
  2. Navigate to the Integrations tab.
  3. Use the search field to find the JazzHR card, or scroll to find it.
  4. Click the Manage details arrow to expand the section.
  5. Copy your API key from the JazzHR card.

Enable the integration in JazzHR

  1. While signed in to your JazzHR account, navigate to Settings.

  1. Scroll to the Checkmate card and click More Details.

  1. Click Connect.

  1. Paste your Checkmate API key into the API key field.

  1. Click Save Credentials.

  1. You should see a notification in the bottom-left corner confirming the connection has been set up.

  1. To confirm the integration has been successfully set up, click on Candidates in the navigation bar.

  1. Click on any candidate.

  1. Click on the Assessments tab.

  1. Confirm that the Checkmate dropdown is visible. Your integration is now set up and ready to use.
