Setting up the Humanforce integration

Integrating Humanforce with Checkmate streamlines your candidate background screening process. Once set up, you can launch checks in Checkmate without leaving Humanforce, and view the progress of checks directly within Humanforce.

Before you begin

Checkmate integrations are configured at company level. To avoid any issues, we recommend completing the steps below using your company's Checkmate user account with the highest level of permissions.

Create bundles in Checkmate

You'll need to create your bundles in Checkmate before proceeding with the integration setup.

About Bundles

Bundles are a quick and easy way to launch multiple checks for a candidate at once. Learn more about bundles.

Request your bundle list from Checkmate support

Once your required bundles have been created, contact Checkmate support at team@checkmate.tech to request a list of the bundles assigned to your account.
Our support team will provide you with the name and ID of each bundle.

Ask Humanforce support to set up the Checkmate integration

Once you have your bundle list, forward it to Humanforce support and ask them
to enable the Checkmate integration and set up the following within your account:

  • Bundle options using the bundle names and IDs provided
  • The following candidate statuses:
    • Checkmate Requested
    • Checkmate In Progress
    • Checkmate Completed
    • Checkmate Request Issue

Ask the Humanforce support team to provide you with the following:

  • Client ID
  • Client Secret
  • Integration Email
Note

If your bundle configuration changes, here is what you need to know:

  • If you add, rename or delete a bundle, you will need to contact Humanforce support to update the configuration on their end.
  • You can add or remove checks within an existing bundle without needing to contact Humanforce support.

Enable the integration in Checkmate

Once you have your credentials, follow these steps to enable the integration in Checkmate:

  1. While signed in to your Checkmate account, navigate to your company settings by clicking your initials in the upper-right corner and selecting Company Settings.
  2. Navigate to the Integrations tab.
  3. Use the search field to find the Humanforce card, or scroll to find it.
  4. Toggle the Humanforce integration on.
  5. Click the Manage details arrow to expand the section.
  6. Enter your credentials.
  7. Optionally, toggle on Hide Widget to prevent candidate results from being visible within Humanforce.
Hide Widget

The Checkmate widget allows you to view candidate details, history trails, individual check results, and more within Humanforce. By toggling on Hide Widget, you disable this feature and will only see the overall candidate status. To view result files and detailed information, you will need to log in to Checkmate.

  1. Click Save.
